Dante Alighieri Auckland teachers bring a wide range of skills to the Language School
Sandra Fresia
(University of Rome, Education Degree)
Sandra is a teacher with a degree in Education from Rome. She was the founder of the Italian language school for adults and children at the Dante Alighieri Auckland twenty years ago. She is currently the Director of the School. In 2006 she received an honorary recognition from the Italian Government for her work with the Italian Community.
Alessandra Zecchini
(University of East London, BA Hons)
Alessandra has taught Italian Language and cooking both in London and Tokyo. She is also the media director of a publishing house, a writer and the director of the Festival Italiano.
Luca Manghi
(Conservatory of Parma, Music Degree)
Luca taught Italian for several years in Paris and at the Christchurch Polytechnic. He currently teaches at Auckland, Waikato and Otago Universities and performs regularly with the major New Zealand orchestras. His CD "Quays" has been released on Atoll Records.
Matteo Telara
(University of Florence, Liberal-Arts Degree)
Matteo has been working in Italy as Editor in Chief for an Italian Publisher and has published a pamphlet and a surf novel. Besides his teaching role, he works as a freelance translatior and writer.
Fiorella Tomasi
(University of Padua, P.E. degree)
Fiorella taught in Italian schools since 1989, at Kindergarten, primary, intermediate and secondary level. She has been teaching at the Dante school for children since 2012.
Barbara Martelli
(University of Auckland, PhD degree)
Barbara is a Professional Teaching Fellow at the University of Auckland, where she completed her PhD of Italian Studies and currently tutors and coordinates language acquisition courses in Italian. She has been teaching at the Dante school since 2015.
